Heather Clendenin Presents at the Eastern Black Bear Workshop

Graduate student Heather Clendenin presented both a talk and a poster at the Eastern Black Bear Workshop (EBBW) in Lake Placid, NY. Her talk, “Promoting Ursus americanus connectivity across the Lower Mississippi Alluvial Valley” highlighted her landscape genetics work on American black bears in Louisiana; while her poster, “Population Genomics of the Eastern Lineage of American Black Bears” focused on a semi-rangewide analysis of population structure, genetic diversity, and divergence times of bears in eastern North America.
