There are no postdoc positions currently in the lab. However, I am excited to discuss sponsoring a fellowship application with motivated scientists. I particularly encourage graduate students to contact me 1-2 years before their anticipated graduation, so we may discuss project ideas and submit fellowship applications.
I am hiring one PhD student to begin Fall 2018 to work on genome assembly and comparative genomics in the bear family. If you would like to make an informal inquiry or would like to apply please email me. Applications require your CV, a cover letter detailing your experience and interest, and contact information for two references. For more information on the graduate program see the University of Memphis Biology Graduate Program.
Students interested in either MS or PhD level work in evolutionary genomics should email me ahead of a formal application to the University of Memphis Graduate School. Please include your research interests and experiences and a CV.
I have two openings for undergraduate volunteers starting Fall 2018. Students must commit to 6-9 hours per week in lab. Initial lab work will consist of data entry and computer analyses, with future opportunities to train in the wet lab (i.e. DNA extraction, PCR, and building genomic libraries). Interested students should email me a resume or CV, and a cover letter detailing their interest in the lab and any relevant courses or experiences.
